Theme: Modern Christmas

Imagine your holiday party entertaining friends and family enjoying a carefully constructed atmosphere where modern finishes and décor compliment the inspiring and bold interiors.

Decorated for the holidays and revealing the contemporary inspiration this new home puts a fresh spin on the holiday favourites. Matte black and champagne gold are the hottest colours this holiday season and incorporating them makes for a modern Christmas.

The Sponsored Tree by Fawn Run Group compliments the home’s modern finishes. With layers of luxury, the tree glows with dazzling ornaments, sparkly black crystals and shimmering gold.

The Fawn Run home was built this year by Impact Builders. The Interior Design was completed by Heather Cousins and Maria Carreon, the owners of MATERIA Interior Design Studio, a local interior design company specializing in custom residential design. Creating quality, beautiful, meaningful, and environmentally-considered spaces is what they do best.

The architecture and interior design showcase the latest trends in new homes; the combination of black cabinets, oversized lighting and black hardware blend well with the warm wood tones throughout.

Get inspired from the interiors, modern decor, Christmas trees and a table setting perfect for any holiday party.

Christleton Manor Luxury Bed and Breakfast
Dina Kotler
423 Christleton Avenue

Theme: A Modern Heritage Christmas

Welcome to Christleton Manor, Kelowna’s only luxury bed and breakfast in this beautiful, 1912 heritage home. The inviting front porch has been dressed to the nines by Andrea McFadden of Okanagan Lavender and Herb Farm and it’s the perfect place to capture some memories of your visit.

As you enter the home, rich wood panelling wraps around you like a warm blanket and invites you in to enjoy the classic detailing found throughout this impressive home.

Decorated by the talented Tammy Cunningham of Center Stage Interior Design, this stunning example of the true holiday spirit is a blend of the homeowner’s treasured pieces and specially curated items from Urban Barn.

Sip on the best from Nighthawk Vineyards, and you can taste and buy some holiday baking from Tammy’s Bistro located in the kitchen. The cozy backyard is full of light from our friends at Shack Shine, and provides a Christmas-card vignette to enjoy throughout the season.

Home #7:

Kate and James Dusik
1907 Begbie Road

Theme: Winter in the Woods

James and Kate Dusik invite you to come to the edge of the forest and be inspired by the simplicity and beauty of nature’s bounty in their lovely contemporary family home in Wilden. Elements of the winter landscape adorn this space as designer Brooke Bachmeier of B Square Interiors oversees the transformation of the homeowner’s love of the outdoors into a timeless, natural seasonal stage that can be enjoyed all winter long.

Many items were handmade by the décor team using natural foliage and up-cycled materials and they will provide instructions on how you can create your own. Keep an eye out for the cardinals hidden throughout and the hits of red accents; the home owner’s favourite colour.

There is a special treat awaiting in the light filled great room; award-winning sister wineries Le Vieux Pin and La Stella will be there pouring their wines. Then move downstairs to the cozy family space and head to the “trading post” to sample Kelowna’s own Artisto Gelato. Meet local artist Jolene Mackie as she shares a selection of her whimsical paintings while capturing the moment with a live painting exhibit. Notice the scents of the wilderness with a collection from the Okanagan Candle Company who will have their locally made candles throughout the house and for purchase. Local musicians will fill the space with Christmas favourites all to welcome you to “Winter in the Woods”.
