National Grief and Bereavement Day
National Grief and Bereavement Day
On Tuesday, November 19th, we invite you to join us on National Grief and Bereavement Day. This is a day to honour, respect and advocate for those experiencing grief, bereavement, anticipatory grief and chronic sorrow.
Date: Tuesday, November 19th, 2024
Time: 1pm-3pm
Location: Mission Greenway and Mission Creek Alliance Church
This year, we are offering a choice of two activities for participants:
Option 1: Memory Walk (1pm-2pm)
We’ll meet at Mission Creek Greenway near the EECO Centre at 1:00PM for a short walk to honour and remember our loved ones.
Option 2: Memory Talk (1pm-2pm)
If you have a mobility impairment or would prefer not to walk, we invite you to join us at Mission Alliance Church at 1:00pm to gather and share stories and memories about ones we have loved and lost.
At 2pm, all participants are invited to gather at Mission Creek Alliance Church for refreshments and a special memorial activity.
There is no cost to attend, however, registration is required to confirm numbers.
Registration can be done on Eventbrite (click here), or by emailing Andi Harvey, Bereavement Services Coordinator, andi@hospicecoha.org or call 250.763.5511
We welcome participants of all ages and abilities.
