The Merry & Bright House
Enter this joyful, art-filled home where imagination, colour, and creativity come together in the most festive way. Every room tells its own story – bold, bright, and brimming with personality – celebrating a nontraditional approach to the holidays that’s as artful as it is heartwarming.
Your tour begins with a cheerful welcome of vintage soldiers, nutcrackers, and a whimsical jingle bell tree, alongside a stunning PVC tree on canvas, handcrafted by the homeowner.
In the living room, a striking white Christmas tree gleams beneath a colourful Murano glass chandelier. The toasty fireplace is hung with stockings for the wee ones, and a clever bookshelf tree adds charm beside an army of playful nutcrackers.
The home office continues the creative spirit with a blue tree shimmering in gold and yellow, surrounded by charming little “book trees” that bring a literary twist to the season.
A tranquil blue room sparkles with wintry sophistication, featuring a white-and-blue tree, a giant clock transformed into a wreath, and Tiffany-blue vintage blow-mould candles that add nostalgic charm. Even the black-and-white bathroom joins the celebration, offering a chic, graphic take on holiday style.
In the newly renovated kitchen, clean lines and modern design create the perfect canvas for festive flair. A glimmering green foil tree adorned with red and gold ornaments strikes the ideal balance between traditional warmth and modern glamour. With its stunning lake view, the kitchen is both stylish and full of holiday spirit.
Downstairs, the holiday fun takes a playful turn. The King of Rock ’n’ Roll himself makes an appearance, with a life-size Elvis and his very own themed tree — adorned with more than 50 vintage Elvis ornaments. Across the room, it’s Barbie’s world, with two pink Barbie trees, one decorated with 17 vintage Barbies from the ’60s and ’70s, and a life-size holiday Barbie box ready for the perfect pink selfie.
In the wine room, a magnificent silver wreath and a life-size Santa enjoying the fruits of the Okanagan offer a final toast to the season. Don’t miss the family photo wall — you might just spot a familiar face!
Throughout the house, guests will also discover original artwork and handmade decor by the homeowner. Many of these one-of-a-kind pieces, including some of the trees themselves, are available for purchase, with proceeds supporting Central Okanagan Hospice Association and hospice and grief care in our community.

A Roaring Christmas Affair
Step through the door and back in time to the dazzling era of the 1920s, where elegance met exuberance and the holiday season was celebrated in true Gatsby style. A Roaring Christmas Affair transforms the home into a sparkling holiday soiree, where vintage glamour mingles with the cozy charm of Christmas past.
The décor glimmers and shines in gold, champagne, and silver, with art-deco motifs and rich textures creating a setting fit for a festive jazz-age gathering. The twinkle of cut crystal, velvet ribbons, and strands of pearls bring a touch of nostalgia, while feathered accents and candlelit vignettes add a sense of timeless romance.
The dining experience in this home is a blend of modern design with a flashback to the elegance of the 1920s. The stunning chandelier above the table provides the inspiration for a glamorous, wintery landscape. You’ll be inspired by the mix of faux fur, white roses, and pearls, all accented with gold. And for those of you who love bold colour, take a seat at the kitchen island where we’ve added a splash of red to the winter wonderland.
Every corner tells a story — from the grand tree dressed in metallics and heirloom ornaments to the intimate sitting area ready for a glass of bubbly and a fireside carol. Handmade details nod to the craftsmanship of the era, blending old-world charm with modern creativity.
This home invites you to slow down, sip something sparkling, and imagine the laughter, jazz, and joy of Christmas nearly a century ago — a perfect reminder that even in changing times, beauty and togetherness never go out of style.
