Honoring the Past
Supporting the Future
Remembering our loved ones is a powerful way to extend compassion and support to others in need.
Honoring your loved one helps others navigate the difficult journey of grief.
James and Lily’s Story
James felt his world shatter the day the love of his life, Iris, died suddenly, leaving him alone with his 13-year-old daughter, Lily. James and Iris were high school sweethearts, and now, without Iris, the future for James and Lily seemed an insurmountable void. A close friend suggested COHA. Desperate, James reached out. Through one-to-one counseling and healing reiki sessions, he found strength to confront his overwhelming sorrow. COHA’s support extended to his children, too. Lily began art therapy, discovering creative outlets for her tangled emotions. She also attended COHA’s Horse Whisperer Grief Camp finding comfort in connecting with peers who understand her struggles. Gradually, the family is beginning to heal, mourning together and cherishing Iris’s memory. Together, they are rebuilding their lives, while remembering the love that Iris had always woven into their family.

Kickoff to 2024 Campaign
Thank you to Steve and Shayna Bennett for your gift of $10,000 to launch our In Loving Memory Campaign in memory of Steve’s Uncle R.J. Bennett. Our gratitude for you honouring the past and supporting the future.
“We are compassionate about end-life-care and as we are “growing with our community” services and supports are very much needed. We donate to COHA because it is often overlooked by larger charities. COHA means, peace, kindness, love and respect to us. We are proud donors of COHA”
