Voice of an Angel

On Tuesday, January 31st, Kiah will be singing and playing her melodic music at Guilt and Co., a favourite Vancouver hot spot for local musicians. We are hoping to bring together a room full of wonderful people to support her. It would be great if you could attend and bring along some friends as this will be a very special evening!

It is a coincidence that it was exactly ten (10) years since Kiah’s mom passed away from a long battle with breast cancer. Kiah was only 15 years old at the time. Given the date, we thought it would be special to create a surprise memorial fundraiser (Kiah does not know so please don’t say anything, the donations raised will be presented after the event on January 31st) in honour of Kiah’s mother, Patty. If you cannot attend the event but would still like to donate, it would be greatly appreciated.

We are raising donations for the Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA) which is the most meaningful charity to Kiah and her entire family. Palliative care allowed the last few months of Kiah’s mom’s life to be lived in comfort, with quality care and to die with dignity. The COHA exists to provide quality hospice palliative care programs and services. Kiah’s father has been volunteering with this organization for the past six years, and it has become an integral part of Kiah’s family’s life. Thank you for your love and support.

COHA is creating a community where no one has to die or grieve alone.

COHA serves the Central Okanagan from Peachland to Lake Country. Offering compassionate supportive care programs where people need it when they need it. Individuals and families are likely to experience many thoughts and feelings over the course of illness and through grief. Everyone’s experience is unique and COHA can help every step of the way.

COHA is committed to “Helping people with a serious illness live to the fullest until they die, and to help their loved one to be supported in their grief.”
